LISTEN NOW: CHERLISE IS NEXT

AimerAmour was in attendance at the listening party for Division 1 artist CHERLISE at Opera Ultra Lounge in Washington, DC. The Miami, Florida native performed songs from her debut mixtape “Ground Zero” including the radio hit, “Hollyhood” and “I’m So Ready” featuring Fat Joe.

Being the fifth child of ten siblings, Cherlise has learned how to stand out and work hard from a young age. The daughter of two pastors wasn’t allowed to listen to secular music growing up and cleaned a local studio in exchange for recording time. It was in this studio, after hours where Cherlise would record the demo that would change her life.

Fast forward to fate taking its course, Cherlise being in the right place at the right time and multi-platnium rapper Fat Joe listening to her demo and introducing her to renown writer/producer Rico Love [Beyonce, Usher].

Cherlise signs with Rico Love’s Division 1′s label and her unique sound is introduced to the world via the single, “Love You Right” featuring Lil Wayne produced by Love. Even with a feature from one of the hottest rappers in the game, Cherlise isn’t getting comfortable, she’s just getting started.

In the midst of her listening party, Cherlise speaks to AimerAmour about upbringing, artist comparisons, and her undeniable work ethic.
