Executive produced by comedy veteran, Martin Lawrence and Bentley Kyle Evans (Co-Creator “The Jamie Foxx Show” ) I was blessed to have the opportunity to intern on the set of “Love That Girl” in Los Angeles, California this summer. As a production intern and assistant to Co-Executive Producer Stacey Evans Morgan, I got to witness how much “love” really went into all aspects of production. Over the course of the summer, the cast and crew grew into a huge family. It’s extremely rare to work in the entertainment industry, especially as an intern and not be subject to a hierarchy; where interns do no more than get coffee or make copies. In the entertainment industry, interns are often reprimanded if not fired for talking to talent or producers. And this is considered “paying your dues” but how is one to learn in that type of environment? The “Love That Girl” set was the exact opposite of any preconceived intern experience. Everyone from the executive producers to the writers and the cast encouraged the interns to be involved in all aspects of production. We were encouraged to ask questions and network with everyone around us. I wish the forthcoming season of “Love That Girl” wonderful ratings! For the opportunity to be apart of the crew for “Love That Girl”, I am forever grateful!
